Hampshire Hospitals health focus talk – Heart disease; past, present and future

Come and hear Dr Dominic Kelly, a consultant cardiologist at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, talk about advances and improvements in heart disease and answer any questions you may have. The event takes place Tuesday 3 April at Alton Maltings, GU34 1DT. The talk starts at 6:30pm, with refreshments being served from 6pm.

Dr Kelly _websiteAs the NHS celebrates its landmark 70th birthday this year, Dr Kelly’s talk will look at the progress made over the years to improve diagnosis and treatment of heart failure as well as consider possible future innovations in this area. 

Health focus talks are free and an opportunity for patients and the public to hear expert consultants talk about their specialist area, meet the Trust’s management team and ask questions.

Dr Kelly is the lead cardiologist for pacemakers and devices and also runs the heart failure service at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester. In addition to his clinical work, he lectures on cardiac diseases at national and international medical meetings and is on the board of the Cardiac Rehab Charity in Alton.

Everyone in the community can become a member of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, by filling in a simple form on the website www.hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk or by picking up a leaflet at one of the Trust’s three hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke or Winchester. You can also come along to the talk and sign up on the day.
