The Orthotics service is available at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
The department has excellent facilities for assessment and measure for a full range of othoses.
There are three orthotic clinic rooms, including:
- Cast rectification room – for accurate body segment capture, using Plaster of Paris, and for inhibitory casting programmes, using soft cast.
- Small workshop – our larger room with walkway and parallel bars.

We are able to directly mould insoles using our vacuum moulding Footlab system.We also have the RS Footscan system with pressure plate for recording and analysing gait force and pattern.
Clinic Room 1 is equipped with video recording equipment for gait assessment and analysis.
