Located on F Floor

F3 is a 14 bedded ward dedicated to ensuring that any elderly patient and those with dementia are given the support they need in later years. We work in close contact with the Clinical Dementia Nurse Specialist as well as other professionals.

We also encourage our patients to participate in sessions such as art and craft and joining others for meals, since employing a Activities Co-ordinator who will work alongside the nursing team and with guidance from the Dementia Specialist nurse on which activities are suitable for our patients.

We now also have a Clinical Nursing Assistant who will be working closely with the Staff Nurses to enhance the practice of care.

Ward F3 benefits from a team of experienced specialist staff, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, social workers and other support staff.

We welcome and value the input of family and friends whilst planning and delivering care. We aim to provide encouragement, professional advice and support and we recognise that our success depends on close co-operation and good communication of all involved.
