Patient and Public Involvement

Your views on all our services are very important to us.

Patient and public involvement is central to planning changes to services within the Foundation Trust and we want your help to drive service improvements. We encourage participation throug

  • developing good communications with our local communities
  • providing patients and public with information to make informed choices about their care
  • working in partnership with patients and the broader community to make decisions about service improvement

The Foundation Trust has a good working relationship with NHS Hampshire, its main commissioner, and works collaboratively with local authority partners at district and county level, both through the Council of Governors and as a key member of the Local Strategic Partnership.

Your views on all our services are very important to us.

Members are invited to contribute views in a number of ways including via their local Public, Staff or Stakeholder Governors who serve on the Council of Governors. The Patient Experience Group (PEG) is a subgroup of the Council of Governors and provides a forum for members’ views to be put forward in relation to patient experience.  Members and the public also have the opportunity to attend health events in their constituency and our annual members meeting, both of which provide an opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics with the Foundation Trust. Members also receive regular newsletters.

What can you do to be involved?

There are a number of ways you can be involved or provide feedback on the hospital services:
