Health Focus: The power of research
Tuesday 21 February 2023 from 6:30pm
Free, virtual event

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT), which runs hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester, is showcasing the power of clinical research and development at their latest Health Focus Event.

The free virtual event is open to everyone, talking all about the latest clinical research at Hampshire Hospitals and why it is so important in how hospitals look after their patients.

On the night, attendees will also hear from Dr Madiha Aziz, whose son is taking part in clinical research, about why they got involved and the huge impact it can have.

Madiha will be joined by trust chief executive Alex Whitfield and expert speakers from team HHFT, including Siobhan Laws, clinical lead for research, and research practitioner, Emma Levell.

With the chance to ask the speakers questions in real time, come along to discover how research shapes your care in hospital, what taking part in research looks like and more.

Tickets are free, and can be booked by visiting: https://bit.ly/HealthFocusFeb23

Alex Whitfield, chief executive at HHFT, said: “We are delighted to welcome you all to our next Health Focus event.

“This is a great opportunity to show you just how powerful research is, enabling us to continually find new knowledge to improve patient treatment and patient care.  It is also an opportunity for you to hear more about what is happening in our hospitals and to ask us any questions about what is going on.

“We look forward to seeing you there!”
