North Hampshire Medical Fund

(Registered charity no. 282094)

NHMFMedical progress is so fast that it will always outstrip the immediate financial resources of the NHS. The 300,000 people of North Hampshire covered by Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital deserve the best treatment using the most up-to-date methods and technology.

The Medical Fund, based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, was launched in 1981 to achieve this aim by enlisting the support, involvement and commitment of the whole community. The Medical Fund is independent of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and has its own website:

The Medical Fund was founded in 1981 with three aims:

  • To raise money to provide additional equipment and facilities in both hospitals and the community to supplement those provided by the Health Service.
  • To ensure that the latest high technology equipment is available for the examination and treatment of patients.
  • To promote medical research, education and care.
