E4 (Medical/Endocrinology)

Located on E Floor, Basingstoke North Hampshire Hospital. 

E4 is a 25-bed unit specialising in endocrinology

When joining the E4 nursing team all nurses will be allocated a mentor and undergo a structured induction programme which is relevant to the ward speciality. The trust values CARE, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Encouragement are embraced by the staff who work on the ward.

All information relating to patients is treated in the strictest of confidence in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct.

E4 benefits from an experienced team led by 2 consultants and supported by a skilled team of doctors, nurse’s physiotherapist, occupational therapists and other allied health care professionals.

The multi-disciplinary team are supported by our patient flow assistant who provides support for discharge planning to ensure a stream lined approach to discharging patients from the hospital environment.

All inpatient wards at Hampshire Hospitals have adopted John’s Campaign, which allows the carers of patients with dementia to stay in hospital with their loved ones if they wish.
