Accessing Wi-Fi at our sites

Here at Hampshire Hospitals we use NHS Wi-Fi, Govroam and Eduroam to provide Wi-Fi across our Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover sites. In each of the drop downs below, you can read more information about each of these services, terms of use and related information.

Hampshire Hospitals is a proud member of the Eduroam Network, delivering seamless roaming internet access across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust sites to education institution colleagues.

The Eduroam service creates seamless guest connectivity to other participating Eduroam organisations, giving encrypted and authenticated access to the internet. Access to your local network may require a VPN.

Terms of use

By accepting the agreement and accessing the wireless network, you acknowledge that you're of legal age and that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by this agreement.

  • The wireless network service is provided by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and its use is completely at our discretion. Your access to the network may be blocked, suspended, or terminated at any time.
  • You agree not to use the wireless network for any purpose that breaches current legislation, including (but not limited to): The Computer Misuse Act (1990), The Data Protection Act (2018), the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (2000) and the Human Rights Act (1998)'s or is otherwise prohibited. You are fully responsible for your use.
  • The wireless network is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied.
  • Internet access through this wireless network is monitored.
  • Accessing any websites that contain inappropriate material must be avoided.
  • You agree to not use this Wi-Fi service for commercial gain.
  • You agree to not send unsolicited commercial or advertising material.
  • You agree to not infringe the intellectual property rights of another person or copy/modify copyright protected material without authorisation.
  • You agree to not display offensive material in any publicly accessible area.

The Govroam service creates seamless guest connectivity to other participating Govroam organisations, giving encrypted and authenticated access to the internet. Access to your local network may require a VPN.

HHFT staff visiting another Govroam-enabled guest network can do so using a HHFT managed device which will join Govroam networks automatically.
