How we fit into the NHS structure
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) provides acute hospital services to a population of around 600,000 patients across Hampshire and parts of west Berkshire. This includes people living in Andover, Basingstoke, Eastleigh and Winchester as well as the surrounding towns and villages including Tadley to the north; Alton and Bordon to the east; Romsey and Chandlers Ford to the South as well as Stockbridge, Bishops Waltham and Alresford.
As a Foundation Trust, we are accountable for our performance to the Independent Regulator, Monitor. Monitor is accountable to Parliament.
The majority of our services are funded by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) which receive their funding from the national Commissioning Board, NHS England. North Hampshire CCG is our main Clinical Commissioning Group partner, although services are also commissioned by neighbouring CCGs.
The Foundation Trust also has links with a number of other local organisations, details of which can be found here.
Organisational Structure
The Foundation Trust is managed by the Board of Directors. The structure of the Trust is divided into three clinical divisions and one corporate division:
- Surgical Services

Structure charts for the Board and individual divisions can be found here.
Day to day performance and development is overseen by the Executive Committee.
