I am a retired Senior Executive working in Companies employed in light engineering, heavy engineering and electronics.  I am an ex Lead-Governor of another NHS Trust and held this role for 5 years.  

 

 I am keen on most sports but especially rugby, football and cricket (member of Hampshire Cricket Club).  I am a classic car enthusiast and am in possession of 2 cars, which I am currently restoring.  I am also involved, through the Royal Southampton Yacht Club, in radio controlled model yachts.

June is proud to bring over 40 years of experience working in the NHS in a variety of clinical, educational, senior operational and managerial roles and latterly working as a turnaround/transformation consultant on successful large scale improvement projects and elective recovery.

June is a passionate retired nurse and skilled leader with a gentle, patient focused style and throughout her career has enjoyed patients’ respect and confidence.  Sha has been committed to managerial excellence and have demonstrated exemplary leadership and organisational skills.

 

ruth-gower-smith.gifRuth has lived in Romsey since 1995. She is married with two grown up step children and spends her spare time gardening and fell walking. Ruth works as a consultant and trainer for organisations undergoing change, assisting with the development of processes, skills and communication at all levels.

 

Ruth worked as a nurse for 12 years and a complaints manager in the NHS, she later became a manager for the John Lewis Partnership. Ruth has also been a school governor and President of her local Chamber of Commerce,

Ruth is passionate about providing the best service within the means available and the delivery of excellent patient care is a key driver for her. She contributes meaningfully to the role of governor by being open, honest and objective, working together for patients, relatives, staff and stakeholders alike.

Caroline Benjamin, Public Governor West & South Hampshire.jpgCaroline has lived in Bishopstoke for over 30 years, she is married with two children and enjoys musical theatre and dining out, and when possible keeping fit by swimming or attending the local gym.
 
Caroline founded Food Allergy Aware in 2013 to offer guidance on allergen management to the hospitality industry, she is recognised as the go to ‘Allergen Expert’ within the food service industry, she has presented at industry events and written articles for industry sector publications.  With over 30 years in food service industry, originally trained as a chef, she has worked front of house and within admin areas including PA, event organising, and conferences, she feels she has a vast range of transferable experience’s, contacts and skills to bring to the governors role..  
 
Caroline is a member of the local Hospital Caterers Association and is keen to work with Hampshire Hospitals to apply her food knowledge and help promote an inclusive environment for those with special diets, enabling them to have a variety of the foods appropriate to their dietary needs.
