The next meeting of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Council of Governors will take place at Beech Hurst Council Offices, Weyhill Road, Andover, SP10 3AJ, on Tuesday 12 November at 6pm.

The Council of Governors works alongside the Board of Directors to ensure that local communities and staff have an influence in how services are developed and delivered by the Trust, which runs Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester.

Council of Governors meetings are held in public, which means that members of the public are able to observe, with time at the end of the meeting to meet the governors.

The Council of Governors is made up of 15 public governors, elected by Foundation Trust members to represent geographical constituencies, plus five elected staff governors, three patient champions, who represent specific groups, and two stakeholder governors, who represent the Foundation Trust’s partner agencies.

Membership of the Trust is free and open to anyone who wants to keep up to date and be involved with their local hospitals. To find out more about membership of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the members of the Council of Governors, visit www.hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk/membership.

Council of Governors meetings are chaired by HHFT chairman Steve Erskine and include reports on the Foundation Trust’s performance and services. The agenda is available here.
