Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) has opened nominations for the 2026 Hampshire Hospitals People Awards, inviting patients, families, colleagues and communities to celebrate the outstanding individuals and teams who make a difference every day across its hospitals.
The annual People Awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional care, compassion and commitment shown by staff working across Hampshire Hospitals, recognising those who go above and beyond to live the Trust’s values and deliver high‑quality care for patients.
After a record number of nominations last year, the Trust is once again encouraging the public to make a submission to celebrate the staff or teams who have had a meaningful impact on their care or experience.
Eight award categories are open for nomination in 2026, celebrating achievements ranging from patient care and innovation to leadership and lifelong contribution. Nominations are open until 1 June 2026 and can be made online at: hampshirehospitals.nhs.uk/peopleawards
Sue Harriman, Chief Executive of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The Hampshire Hospitals People Awards are a real celebration of the compassion, skill and dedication shown by our colleagues and teams every single day. The stories behind each nomination are always incredibly powerful and help us to shine a light on the impact they have on patients, families, and one another every day.
“If someone at Hampshire Hospitals has made a positive difference to you or your loved ones, I would really encourage you to take a few moments to nominate them. Every nomination helps us recognise the extraordinary people delivering care across our hospitals.”
All those nominated will be invited to celebratory events, with finalists recognised at a special awards ceremony later this year.
