Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in five categories for this year’s Health Service Journal Patient Safety Awards, recognising the Trust’s continued commitment to outstanding care and improving patient safety.
Teams and colleagues at Hampshire Hospitals have been shortlisted for five separate initiatives, all of which were focused on work to enhance patient safety across maternity, theatres, fundamentals of care, quality improvement and overall patient experience.
The HSJ Patient Safety Awards recognise and celebrate teams and individuals making significant strides in protecting patients from harm, reducing risks, and embedding a positive culture of safety in healthcare. The announcement of this year’s finalists comes following a judging process by a panel of esteemed healthcare leaders and patient safety experts.
Julie Dawes, Chief Nurse at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “It’s wonderful to see the hard work of so many of our teams and colleagues recognised, celebrating their continued dedication to improving patient safety and care for our communities here at Hampshire Hospitals. The initiatives within the shortlisted submissions are making such a difference to those we care for, and we are immensely proud for everyone involved.”
The 2025 HSJ Patient Safety Awards ceremony will take place on 15 September at Manchester Central, with winners to be announced during a special evening celebration event following the HSJ Patient Safety Congress.
