Inside Hampshire Hospitals: HHFT Annual General Meeting
Free online event – Wednesday 19 August, 6pm.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering the chance to hear from those on the frontline responding to COVID-19, as part of the trust’s virtual Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 19 August, from 6pm.
The free event is open for members of the foundation trust, as well as members of the local communities of Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester, Eastleigh and the surrounding areas.
Alex Whitfield, chief executive of Hampshire Hospitals, said: “Things are a little different this year, as Coronavirus continues to change the way we work, but I hope that you will be able to join us virtually to find out about the amazing things our brilliant staff have been doing during 2019/20 and in tackling the challenges of COVID-19 head on.
“We will be sharing the latest updates from the trust as we review the last year and look ahead to the future of healthcare in North and Mid Hampshire.”
On the night, attendees will hear from the trust’s emergency department and microbiology teams as they reflect on their experiences of the last few months – one team at the front doors of the hospitals, and the other using innovative technology to take COVID-19 testing on the move.
Other short talks include how the trust has worked with local partner organisations to provide the best possible patient care in recent months, and an update on the Hampshire Together programme.
