Patients in Hampshire will benefit from an ambitious new clinical strategy, launched today by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester.
The HHFT clinical strategy 2022 – 2028 will shape care over the next six years and focuses on three key themes: providing high quality personalised and individualised care, innovating for future patients, and promoting the wellbeing of staff, patients and wider population.

Dr Lara Alloway, chief medical officer at HHFT, said: “How we can provide the best care for our patients is at the very core of what we do. This strategy is all about driving decision making and steering us in the right direction to achieve our vision of delivering outstanding care to every patient.
“Since our last clinical strategy was launched in 2019, Hampshire Hospitals has gone through a massive period of change. Encompassing responding to the pandemic, being part of the government’s new hospitals programme and ongoing investment in new equipment, training and digital infrastructure.
“Many of our objectives and goals have already been met – it’s time for new objectives that are fit for the future.”
The clinical strategy keeps the local community at the centre, having been co-developed HHFT staff, patients, partners and members of the community.
Dr Alloway added: “I want to thank the hundreds of people who took part in shaping our clinical strategy, and I look forward to us working together to make our vision a reality.”
