Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester, has today (Wednesday 1 March 2023) confirmed a change to its mask-wearing guidance.
Effective today, masks will be required in all clinical spaces, but optional elsewhere.
Mask-wearing will continue to be enforced in all clinical areas, including waiting rooms, wards and outpatients, however is optional in non-clinical areas including corridors, offices and other meeting spaces, and restaurants.
Good hygiene remains important; please remember to disinfect hands regularly and do not visit our hospitals if you feel unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19, diarrhoea or vomiting.
Trust guidance is reviewed regularly to ensure that we are providing the best possible care for our community, continuing to protect patients and staff.
