All Emergency Departments at Hampshire Hospitals, including our Minor Injuries Unit at Andover War Memorial Hospital, are moving to a digital system for recording patient information.
From 17 July 2024, a programme called MIYA will be used to record how patient information is recorded and shared enabling us to work more efficiently and provide better care for our patients.
Although this relates to information for patients arriving at our Emergency Departments, staff throughout across all three hopital sites will be starting to use MIYA so it does represent a major change.
A huge amount of training and preparation has taken place to ensure the introduction of this new system goes as smoothly as possible.
We sincerely hope that patients and the public won’t notice that we have introduced a new IT system but there could be some delays.
If delays do occur, please be assured that we will work quickly to minimise any disruption and your patience is greatly appreciated.
