Project Wingman has landed at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support our staff with a first class lounge experience.
Project Wingman is a group of airline crew from across every UK airline, dedicated to giving back to the NHS staff during this COVID-19 crisis. They provide a space to unwind, de-stress before, during and after hospital shifts which will help safeguard the health and wellbeing of our staff.
Whether you would like a moment of quiet reflection, the chance to talk to others or spend a moment distracted by arts and crafts, this is a really great opportunity to take a moment for yourself. The impact of the last few months has been huge across our personal and professional lives, and this is just one of the ways we can help you.
The team from Project Wingman are currently available at Basingstoke (The Ark) and Winchester (Staff Canteen) with the hope to have some pop up events in Andover soon. Please keep your eyes peeled for the weekly opening hours which due to the changes to the travel industry will vary week by week.
Jane Davies, Patient Experience and Volunteer Manager has coordinated their arrival has done an incredible job in a short space of time she said “We are so delighted to welcome The Project Wingman volunteers, its been fantastic getting to know them and sharing in their enthusiasm for giving back to the NHS. Pop along and meet the team and enjoy the break you deserve as they are looking forward to meeting you all”

They can chat to us about our jobs, and we might hold a few quizzes, and will provide some cakes and snacks when we can. We want to just help the staff to relax and to give them a break. All of us just want to do something for the NHS which helps and supports our staff.”
Steph who is our Winchester Team Leader said "It's fantastic to be here in Winchester and the first few days have been brilliant for us to help the NHS staff have a break in our first class lounge setting. See you all soon"
