From Monday 2 November, Carter Crescent, a road near the Emergency Department at Winchester Hospital, will be subject to temporary access arrangements while construction work takes place as part of the development of a new Urgent Treatment Centre. This controlled access is expected to be in place until February 2027.
What this means for patients and visitors:
- Vehicle access will be restricted to service vehicles only through Carter Crescent during this period.
- Access to Winchester Hospital and all clinical services will remain unaffected.
- Clear signage will be in place to help patients and visitors navigate the site safely.
We are working closely with our construction partners to minimise disruption and maintain access to hospital services throughout the project.
