From Monday 7 September, a section of road within the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital site will be temporarily closed to allow essential excavation and infrastructure improvement works to take place.
The works are expected to last for approximately 11 weeks and will affect a short stretch of road beneath the bridge near the hospital’s MRI department.
Access to the hospital, clinical services, departments and car parks will remain unaffected for patients, visitors and staff throughout the works. The only exception is for patients attending a routine MRI appointment, who will be asked to access the MRI department via the main entrance and CT department.
Comprehensive signage will be in place to help patients, visitors and staff navigate the site safely and efficiently. We have also worked closely with our contractors to minimise disruption wherever possible.
For those travelling to the hospital by car, all areas of the site will remain accessible. However, an alternative exit route will be in place, with all traffic leaving the hospital directed via a diversion route.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential improvements are completed.
