Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs hospitals in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester, has today (23 August 2022) confirmed a change to its visiting guidance.
Effective immediately, each patient will be permitted up to two visitors at any one time between the hours of 12:00 and 19:00, and appointments will not need to be booked in advance. Please note, this excludes patients in a closed bay or the Covid-19 positive ward. Visitors for these patients, and children under 12, must receive permission from the ward nurse in charge prior to visiting.
This guidance will not impact on the arrangements in place for maternity services where birthing partners are already permitted, or for patients in receipt of palliative or end of life care for whom visitors have been allowed throughout the pandemic.
All visitors are encouraged to undertake a lateral flow test on the day of their visit and will need to follow infection control rules at all times when on-site, including wearing a surgical face mask.
Please do not visit our hospitals if you feel unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19.
