Ensure the battery is new, correctly inserted, and the battery door is fully closed. |

Have your ears checked for wax at your GP surgery or during a repair appointment. You may need to arrange wax removal. |
Check the Hook: |
If there's moisture or debris in the hook, contact us for a replacement or use our drop-box service. |
Check the Program: |
If using a loop system, ensure you're not accidentally switched on to the loop setting when a loop is not present. Open and close the battery door to return to your default program. |
Hearing Aid Making Excessive Whistling or Buzzing Sounds |

Check Earmold/Dome Placement: |
Thin Tubes: Press your finger over the tube to ensure the dome is fully inserted into the ear canal. Earmoulds: The earmould should be fully inserted into the ear canal, with the top part of the mould fitting under the crease at the top of your ear |
Check for Earwax: |
Have your ears checked for wax at your GP surgery or during a repair appointment. You may need to arrange wax removal. |
Check Earmold/Dome Condition: |
Inspect the dome or earmold for signs of wear or damage. If you have damaged/worn thin tubes, replace them. If you have damaged/worn earmolds, contact us to arrange for a new earmold. If the problem persists: If these steps don't resolve the whistling or buzzing, please contact us to schedule a repair appointment. In the meantime, if your hearing aids have a volume control, you can temporarily reduce the volume to minimize the feedback. |
Hearing Aid Playing 8 Consecutive Beeps An 8-beep signal indicates a potential fault. Please contact us to schedule a repair appointment, or use our postal repair or drop-box service. |

The Earmould/Dome is Causing Discomfort If your earmold or dome is uncomfortable, first check its placement.
Incorrect placement can cause significant discomfort. If the discomfort continues after correct insertion, please schedule an in-person appointment with an audiologist to ensure the earpiece is suitable. |

Trouble Connecting Oticon Bluetooth Hearing Aids to the App, or Only One Hearing Aid is Connecting |

Check the Distance: |
Make sure your phone is within 10 feet of your hearing aids. |
Toggle Bluetooth: |
Turn Bluetooth off and on again on your phone. |
Restart and Reinstall: |
Replace the batteries in your hearing aids. Restart both your phone and your hearing aids. Uninstall and reinstall the Oticon Companion app (make sure you're not using the older Oticon On app). Important: When pairing, hearing aids must have been recently re-started. Do this by opening and closing the battery drawer |
Apple/iOS Devices: |
Re-pair your hearing aids. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices and then select your hearing aids. Restart your hearing aids by opening and closing the battery drawer before pairing. You may need to "forget" your hearing aids from the device's Bluetooth settings first." |
