The Hepatobiliary (HPB) team manages a specialist liver service that provides a full range of out-patient and surgical HPB treatment. This includes HPB cancer workload (circa 160 major resections per annum), as well as benign upper-GI surgery with a mix of gallstone disease, laparoscopic surgery for giant hiatus hernia & splenectomy and the minimal access treatment of severe complicated pancreatitis. There is a close collaboration between the HPB and Peritoneal Malignancy services and the team collaborate to perform complex multi-visceral resections and resection of extra-hepatic colorectal metastases.
The HPB service operates out of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
