Updated visiting guidance:
We are only able to allow ONE support partner & NO siblings.
Your chosen partner can stay with you immediately after birth or visit you from 8:00 - 20:00., No overnight stay (except on labour ward). Bring extra snacks for your partner as they will only be able to enter the ward once a day.
COVID-19 vaccine:
It is safe to have your COVID-19 vaccine in pregnancy. Over 98% of pregnant women who are admitted to hospital are unvaccinated. With the new variant in circulation, we strongly encourage pregnant women to have the COVID-19 vaccine if they have not done so already to protect themselves and their baby.
COVID-19 testing:
All women and their support partners will be tested for COVID-19 on each inpatient admission. Women (and their support partners) booked for a planned c-section or induction of labour will have a COVID-19 swab 48 hours prior to the procedure. They should then isolate until their planned admission date.
Please ensure you and your support partner have performed a COVID-19 lateral flow swab test at home before any antenatal or postnatal appointment or before any scan appointment. If you have a positive result, contact the community midwives office or antenatal clinic on your appointment letter.
If anyone in your household has a positive COVID-19 swab result, while you are still receiving maternity care during pregnancy or after, please advise the community midwives office so that we can appropriately plan your care:
