Having graduated from Oxford University and St Thomas' Hospital in London, Dr Carl Brookes continued his postgraduate training at the Hammersmith Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital.
He became a consultant cardiologist and physician at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital in 2000. He is now Divisional Medical Director for Medical Services at Hampshire Hospitals NHS FT.
Dr Brookes sees patients with all forms of heart disease and practices as a general physician. He has developed a special interest in interventional cardiology and implantation of pacemakers and runs a specialist heart failure service. He sees patients referred locally as well as from all over the UK and abroad.
