More recently I have set up a treatment and monitoring programme for patients with chronic hepatitis B. I also run a clinic in the Haemophilia Centre, specialising in caring for and treating Haemophilia patients with viral hepatitis.
I am also a general hepatologist and see patients with a wide variety of liver conditions in my specialist Liver/Upper GI cancer clinic.
In my general gastroenterology clinic, I see the whole spectrum of GI disease, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and many others.
I lead the Upper GI cancer multi-disciplinary team, and attend the Central South Coast Cancer Network meetings as the Foundation Trust’s representative. I see patients with oesophago-gastric and pancreatic cancer in my specialist liver/upper GI cancer clinic. The team liaises with tertiary centres around the region to optimise and tailor care to individual patients. The local team consists of gastroenterologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, a clinical nurse specialist, dietician and MacMillan nurses.
