Additional information and comments
My particular areas of specialist interest are minimally invasive surgical treatments for conditions of the prostate and kidney. I was appointed as a consultant urological surgeon in 2004 and have developed our laparoscopic upper urinary tract service in this time.
I have also introduced the Greenlight laser for the surgical management of benign prostatic enlargement - to date we have performed over 500 cases in Basingstoke and I am involved with teaching and training other surgeons this technique.
I have also introduced High-Intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) as a new treatment for localised prostate cancer and receive referrals from all over the south of England.
