Dr Lloyd qualified from OxfordUniversity in 1998 and undertook further specialist training in the London and Wessex Deaneries. He spent 3 years carrying out research for a Doctorate of Medicine at St Mark’s Hospital, a world-renowned centre for inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure. During the same period David also completed a Masters degree in Nutritional Medicine with Distinction.
Dr Lloyd is trained in all aspects of adult gastroenterology. He has a special interest in luminal gastroenterology and in particular nutrition, coeliac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. He is a skilled endoscopist performing gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound.
