Experience:

Dr Olechowski graduated from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, in June 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Medicine (MD). He began his NHS career at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth in August 2008, where he completed a broad rotational training programme across multiple medical specialties.

After three years of postgraduate training, he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He commenced specialist cardiology training in 2012, rotating through University Hospital Dorset, University Hospital Southampton, and Queen Alexandra Hospital, gaining extensive experience in general cardiology.

Dr Olechowski subsequently took two years out of clinical training to complete a Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Southampton before returning in 2019 to undertake subspecialty training in coronary intervention. In 2020, he was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in both General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology from Wessex Deanery. Following advanced fellowship training, he was appointed Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust in February 2022.

Research:

Dr Olechowski gained Doctorate in Medicine from University of Southampton in 2019, the topic of his dissertation was `Feasibility and reproducibility of tailored antiplatelet therapy using short thrombelastography`.
