Experience:

I have done my undergraduate training in Heidelberg and Berlin, Germany, as well as my MD.  I have done my postgraduate training in the UK including a DPhil at University of Oxford.  I have trained in the Wessex deanery before taking up my consultant post at HHFT.  I have held an imaging Fellowship at Southampton University Hospital.  Since working at HHFT, I have set up an entire state of the art imaging service including TTE, TOE and cardiac MRI for our patients, as my specialist interest in Cardiolgy is multimodality imaging.  I am heavily involved in training and education and was Foundation Programme Director in Basingstoke and am now the Royal College of Physicians tutor for internal medical training in Winchester

Research:

I have done an MD in heart failure research in natriuretic peptides in Heidelberg and Berlin, Germany.  I have done a DPhil at the University of Oxford in Cardiac Energy Metabolism using cardiac MRI and MRS as well as biochemical methods for assessment.  I have done a Masters in Medical Education at the Univeristy of Winchester
