Experience:

After completing anaesthetic training in Bristol, I worked as a Locum Consultant at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol before starting in Winchester in 2007.  As a Consultant I was Clinical Lead for Intensive Care from 2012 to 2021, leading the unit through the Covid-19 pandemic.  I have been Chair of the Hospital Transfusion committee for 9 years and have led the GA MRI service since 2016.  I am currently Medical Lead for the Thames Valley and Wessex Adult Critical Care Network and Director of Medical Education within HHFT.

Research:

I have maintained an active involvement in clinical research and am currently Principal Investigator for the Threshold for Platelets (T4P) study.
