Information and entertainment units supplied by Hospedia are available at every bedside, containing a telephone, radio, television, internet and games.

You can make free outgoing calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers and receive calls from friends and family via your bedside unit. You will also use the unit to order your meals throughout the day.

On registering your name, you will receive free television for 30 minutes. Radio is free 24 hours a day. Television comes with a choice of 29 channels, with channels 1-5 free to watch from 8am until midday. Television is also free on children's wards, Wessex Ward and at the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.

To watch television outside of these times or to call a mobile phone, payments can be made by credit or debit card via the bedside unit, by calling the operator from your bedside unit or by purchasing a Hospedia payment card from the yellow vending machines near the ward entrances. You can purchase different values to suit your needs. 

Reaching a patient at their bedside is easy. Calls in to the hospital cost 13p per minute, plus network charges. Their personal hospital phone number can be found at the bottom of the Hospedia screen or you can call the Customer Care Team on 0845 414 1234. You will need the patients name and date of birth to obtain their number.
