Our acute oncology service at Hampshire Hospitals cares for patients who are having anti-cancer treatment and require rapid assessment or admission to hospital.  The service also sees patients in hospital with suspected cancer, to ensure therir condition is diagnosed as quickly as possible and decisions are made about treatment in a timely manner.

Our cancer teams work closely with all departments to ensure that any patient who has a cancer diagnosis or suspected cancer, but is admitted for another  reason, is seen by a specialist within 24 hours

  • Is at high risk of spreading to the bones, such as breast, lung or prostate cancer
