We are now pleased to be able to offer you free, in-person, antenatal classes with a Hampshire Hospitals midwife in either Basingstoke or Winchester. These classes may be taught as 4 evening sessions or a single weekend day and will cover:
- Week 1: All things labour, birth, pain relief and when to call the triage line.
- Week 2: Birth location options, choices in maternity care and using BRAIN, writing birth preferences, postnatal care, screening tests for baby, induction of labour and planned caesareans.
- Week 3: Perineal massage, mental health and relationships, infant feeding.
- Week 4: Contraception, safe sleeping guidance, ICON and then ending with a mini hypnobirthing/breathing techniques/massage session.
