Our measures help us understand whether we are making a meaningful difference to people in the communities we serve.
There are a number of key performance indicators that demonstrate whether we are contributing to improving healthy life expectancy (including earlier cancer diagnosis, reduced cardiovascular disease mortality and fewer avoidable admissions for people with long term conditions), recognising that people living longer, healthier lives is one of the most important measures of success across the NHS.
We will focus on the outcomes that matter most to patients, communities and staff, while considering quality, experience, our people, productivity and financial sustainability together.
Each year, we will agree a clear set of priorities and monitor progress against them, using what we learn to continually improve and ensure we are delivering the greatest possible impact.
